Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains how SAZ Labs ("we", "us", or "our") handles personal information when you visit our website or contact us about our software development and consulting services. It is intended for visitors worldwide; the rights and requirements that apply depend on the laws relevant to you and our activities.

This policy covers this website and related enquiries. Apps we develop, client projects, and services with different data practices may have their own privacy notices.

1. Who is responsible and how to contact us

SAZ Labs is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@saz-labs.com with the subject "Privacy request".

2. Information we collect

Providing information is voluntary. The contact form requires the indicated fields so we can understand and respond to your enquiry; without them, it cannot be submitted. You can also contact us by email.

3. How and why we use information

We use enquiry information to respond to you, discuss your requirements, prepare proposals, and manage our communications. We use technical information and the submission timestamp to operate the website, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and protect our systems. Information may also be needed to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where a legal basis is required, responding to a request for a proposal or service may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract. General correspondence, website security, and abuse prevention may be based on our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. Legal compliance is based on applicable legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, we will request it separately and you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. The website does not use automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Sharing and service providers

Contact form submissions are stored using Google Firebase Cloud Firestore and made available to the authorised SAZ Labs owner through our private administration tools. Hosting, infrastructure, and email providers may process information as needed to deliver the website and our communications.

The home page loads Google Fonts and Firebase libraries from Google servers. Those requests disclose technical connection information, such as your IP address, to the provider. See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's privacy information for more about these services.

Information may be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal compliance, the protection of rights, or legal claims. If our business is reorganised or transferred, relevant information may be shared as part of that transaction, subject to applicable protections and notice requirements.

This website does not include advertising trackers or mechanisms to sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. Cookies and browser storage

The website's own code does not set analytics or advertising cookies. It uses local storage named sazLabsLastContactSubmission to keep the time of your last successful contact form submission. This supports a one-minute interval between submissions; the stored value does not automatically expire and remains until replaced by a later submission or cleared through your browser settings.

You can clear or block site storage in your browser. Blocking storage may affect the contact form; you can email us instead. The website does not currently run targeted advertising or analytics tracking, and does not implement a separate response to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.

6. International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ. Where applicable law restricts an international transfer, an appropriate legal transfer mechanism is required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, together with additional protections where necessary. Contact us to ask about the processing locations and safeguards relevant to your information.

7. Retention and security

We retain personal information for the time needed to handle your enquiry and related follow-up, manage an ongoing business relationship, and meet applicable legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements. The relevant period depends on the enquiry's status, whether it leads to a project, applicable recordkeeping duties, and legal limitation periods. You can request deletion as described below, subject to lawful exceptions.

We use access restrictions and other reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. The browser submission timestamp has the separate storage lifetime described in section 5.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

Right to object: where applicable, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular situation. You may object to direct marketing at any time.

Email contact@saz-labs.com to exercise your rights, or to appeal a decision. Explain your request and how we can identify the relevant correspondence. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorised agent's authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any permitted extension or refusal. You will not be discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland may also complain to their local data protection authority. UK visitors can contact the Information Commissioner's Office. Visitors elsewhere may contact the relevant privacy regulator in their jurisdiction.

California and other US state residents may have additional rights to information about categories, sources, purposes, recipients, and specific pieces of personal information, subject to the relevant law's applicability and exceptions. Sections 2–4 describe the website's collection and use. Contact us for information about your own records.

9. Children

This website offers professional software services and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review the information and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before introducing materially different processing. Continuing to use the website does not, by itself, constitute consent to new processing.
